Deep brain stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders is not new, but treatment strategies are getting smarter. Advanced connectomics and software analysis may help guide surgical targeting. Electrophysiological biomarkers are being uncovered to personalize stimulation paradigms. And both wearable and implanted closed-loops approaches are being explored. Here we explore these recent and future technological advances in DBS.

Neuromodulation Fundamentals: Non-Neuronal Effects Featured
