Neuromodulation for GI Disorders

The management of gastrointestinal disorders can present a challenge to even the most experienced clinicians. Peripheral neurostimulation may offer relief for patients suffering from a variety of gastrointestinal symptoms. This session will review the rationale and evidence behind the use of peripheral neuromodulation in the management of gastrointestinal disorders, including fecal incontinence, low anterior resection syndrome, anorectal pain, and gastroparesis.

Novel Cerebral Targets for Nociception Featured

Deep brain stimulation for the treatment of chronic intractable pain has variable efficacy and is not widely practiced. An improved understanding of the various components of cerebral pain processing has the potential to inform new targets for stimulation to improve the efficacy of this treatment modality.

Practice Management Course

This course will discuss the best practice management and fundamental leadership skills to go back into your practice and make a meaningful difference.

This course is aimed at physicians and their support staff who are hoping to or currently running their own private practice. The agenda and faculty were carefully designed to provide a high-level guide and guidance on areas of practice management that can be the most challenging, complex and consuming of time, energy and resources.

At the completion of this coursework, we would expect the attendees to leave with a broad understanding of the common challenges one might face as a physician-owner and how to navigate their practice to the most successful route!
