Engineering - Mechanistic Studies and Novel Indications of Spinal Cord Stimulation
On Demand Session
On Demand Session
This session will present recent mechanistic studies and novel indications related to spinal cord stimulation in human subjects. It will include new indications of SCS, such as restoring motor control after spinal cord injury.
Learning Objectives
- Describe mechanistic studies performed in patients undergoing spinal cord stimulation for pain and other neurological conditions.
- Review emerging indications of spinal cord stimulation.
- Discuss static and dynamic sensory testing to illustrate the effects of spinal cord stimulation on sensory processing in pain patients.
