Kevin J. Mansfield, MD

Dr. Mansfield focuses his practice on surgical strategies for restoring lost function to patients suffering from neurological dysfunction.  He received his neurosurgical residency training at the University of Louisville, with a special emphasis on stereotactic systems and their applications.  There, he was introduced to the principles of microelectrode recording and brain mapping.  He received fellowship training in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at the Oregon Health Science University under Dr. Kim Burchiel, focusing on asleep, image-guided stereotactic procedures for movement disorders and epilepsy, as well as the physiology and surgical management of pain.  He is currently based in the Midwest, bringing these advanced techniques to medically under-served populations in the Ozarks.
