Dan Merrill, PhD Principal and Founder

Dr. Dan Merrill has 27 years of industrial experience in addition to 15 years of university training within the field of neural engineering. He earned his BS and M Eng at Cornell in Electrical Engineering, PhD at Case Western Reserve in Biomedical Engineering at the Applied Neural Control Lab, and Post-Doc'ed at U Utah in tissue engineering. He is a Fellow of the AIMBE. His interests include the mechanisms of charge injection at the electrode/tissue interface and how this informs safe and effective stimulation. For fun he has been an EMT for 30 years and is a former firefighter.
