Ahmed Raslan, MD Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery

Dr. Raslan is an associate professor of neurological surgery; he manages patients with a broad spectrum of neurosurgical disorders. He is interested in pain surgery, functional and stereotactic neurosurgery, and epilepsy surgery.in 2012 he completed the OHSU neurological surgery residency program (required for practice in the US). Dr. Raslan joined the faculty of neurological surgery in July 2012.The Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery Program encompasses a broad spectrum of surgical treatments to manage and restore neurological function. Special programs include surgical management of movement disorders, surgical pain management, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, surgery for spasticity, surgical treatment of psycho-affective disorders and stereotactic computer assisted neurosurgery.Dr. Raslan's research interests are concerned with the physiology of nociception and pain modulation in the brain stem, image guided surgery and functional neurological localization during surgery using neuromonitoring.Visit the Department of Neurological Surgery's website for information about academics, conferences, residency and fellowships.
