Matthew J. Pingree, MD Assistant Professor

Matthew J. Pingree graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin where he received his MD degree. He then completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency in 2003 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. This was followed by an EMG/Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Arizona campus in 2004. Dr. Pingree then went into private practice for three years where he was a partner in a spine pain management practice. In 2007 he returned to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where he completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship and during that time was awarded the Mayo Foundation Scholar in 2008. Currently Matt practices pain medicine full time as a Consultant in the division of Pain Medicine and serves as the director of the Ultrasound procedural practice in the Pain Medicine. His clinical interests include advancing the field of ultrasound in pain medicine, peripheral nerve stimulation and developing online platform independent multimedia educational material.
