Virtual Meeting Tip! Check your Connection

Make sure your internet connection is strong. If your WiFi is not reliable, you can:

  • Close out other applications
  • Be near your WiFi router
  • Connect your computer directly to your internet router using an Ethernet cable

Visit https://www.speedtest.net/ to test your connection in-advance.

Interacting with Faculty

Plenary sessions will feature a live-streamed, moderated Q&A. All sessions, both plenary and concurrent, will also have an interactive chat feature. In the interactive chat, attendees will be able to ask questions directly to presenters in the “Questions and Answers” pane. Faculty will see questions assigned to them and can choose which to answer. Once faculty submit an answer, both the question and answer will be published to all meeting attendees in the “Questions and Answers” pane.

Are you an invited speaker or abstract’s presenting author for the 2021 NANS Virtual Meeting?

Access your NANS Speaker Portal to learn more about your sessions and presentation requirements. You can directly access your Speaker Portal account through the link provided in your invitation letters sent to your email address or click here  to login into your account.

  • I’m a speaker/abstract presenter/e-poster author. Would it be possible to request an extension?
    • Unfortunately, the deadlines listed in the NANS Speaker Portal are hard deadlines set by our virtual platform provider to ensure that they can set up our event in time. We cannot guarantee that items submitted after the deadline will be included in the program.

What’s the cancellation policy?

No refunds will be given in the event you are unable to attend the live meeting as all sessions, including sessions we were unable to fit in our live program, will be available on-demand through April 16, 2021. No refunds can be made for any other expenses related to attending the virtual meeting.

Since the meeting is virtual, will the in-person NANS 24th Annual Meeting be rescheduled?

Will the sessions be available for viewing after the live event?

Will I still receive CME?

Yes, participants will have the opportunity to claim CME by watching sessions live during the meeting dates or viewing them on-demand. Completing post-tests and evaluations will be required in order to claim credit.

Why did NANS transition to a virtual meeting for 2021?

Although this decision did not come lightly, NANS’s priority is the safety and care of our members, attendees, and supporters. With this reason, the NANS Board of Directors decided to convert the NANS 24th Annual Meeting to a virtual event.
