Advanced Practice Provider Course (NPs/PAs/Nurses) Featured

The course will provide advanced practice providers with an overview of topics in neuromodulation through lectures and interactive presentations. The material will be presented by physicians and APP faculty and will be relevant for anyone interested in or involved in the management of patients in pain management, neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic or physical medicine, and rehabilitation practice.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss updates in current SCS, PNS, and DBS technology.
  • Explain the importance of optimizing behavioral health for neuromodulation patients.
  • Evaluate and identify appropriate neuromodulation therapies for craniofacial and genitourinary conditions.
  • Describe special considerations for neuromodulation (anticoagulation, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, cognition, etc.)
  • Discuss the leadership opportunities available for APPs with particular emphasis on neuromodulation.
