Maricela C. Schnur, MBA MD Interventional Pain Physician, Clinical Director of MSK Division

Dr. Maricela Schnur is fellowship trained chronic pain physician in a hospital based practice in Duluth, MN. She earned her bachelor’s degree from NYU and her medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medical College. After taking care of a sick family member during medical school she realized she needed further training in finance and accounting and obtained her MBA from the Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. After medical school she traveled to Boston for residency training in anesthesia at the Massachusetts General Hospital. During her time there she presented at several conferences and was a lead editor of a book titled, “ Anesthesia Review: 1000 Questions and Answers to Blast the BASIC and Ace the ADVANCED.” She graduated from the chronic pain fellowship program at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Campus and practices at St. Luke's Hospital. She is on the board of The Society of Women Innovators in Pain Management where she was also a founding member. Dr. Schnur consults for several medical device companies and recently took on an administration role to become director of the musculoskeletal division at her hospital which encompasses neurology, neurosurgery, interventional pain, PMR and orthopedic surgery.
