Kiran V. Patel, MD Interventional Pain Medicine
Kiran V. Patel MD is an Interventional Pain Management physician board-certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. Dr. Patel practices at the Spine & Pain Institute of New York and is also the Director of Neurosurgical Pain at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Dr. Patel oversees the neuromodulation program at Lenox Hill Hospital as well as inpatient pain service. Dr. Patel is an assistant clinical professor at the Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine as well as the Program Director for Hofstra-Northwell’s ACGME PAIN MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP. She precepts the Pain Medicine rotation for Hofstra Anesthesiology residents and medical students. Dr. Patel participates in clinical neuromodulation research with the goal of improving clinical practice and outcomes. She has published extensively in leading scientific journals and presented her work at premiere scientific meetings. Dr. Patel is most recognized for her expertise in Neuromodulation as it relates to neuropathic pain, cancer-related pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), pelvic pain, headache, atypical facial pain, and peripheral neuralgias.Dr. Patel is an active member of the North American Neuromodulation Society’s Board of Directors. She currently serves as co-chair for the July 2021 NANS Mid-Year meeting.
