This course is meant for residents, fellows, and new attending physicians in both academics and private practice to fill the void often left by medical training in leadership skills and management. We have a number of nationally renowned speakers to serve as faculty and functional neurosurgeons/anesthesia pain physicians who are passionate about leadership. At the end of the course, you will be more comfortable advocating for yourself and your team and have a game plan for the year moving forward.

IT Therapy is a mature therapy that is currently indicated for chronic pain and severe spasticity. This course will provide novice practitioners of this therapy a framework to introduce IT therapy into their clinical practice.

Building a Neuromodulation Practice: Brain to Pain, Approvals, Financials & Cases

This event provides a comprehensive presentation of the current billing and coding environment delivered by leading experts in the field of neuromodulation. The course will highlight the importance of clinical documentation and appropriate coding, while also discussing the impact of changes in federal programs on payment. Focusing on implantable therapies there will be discussions on emerging therapies, intrathecal pump management, and pump refills as well as other salient issues in neuromodulation. The role of advocacy at the state and federal level to preserve reimbursement also will be discussed.

Continuum of Care from Wearables to Non-Invasive Neuromodulation

Including a range of neuropsychiatric indications such as pain and depression, this course spans the intersection of neuromodulation and digital healthcare, AR/VR, as well as a hands-on practical training on the use of noninvasive neuromodulation and AR/VR. Neuromodulation techniques covered will include Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), and transcutaneous cranial and peripheral nerve stimulation. Lectures will address how these neuromodulation techniques can be combined with medical wearables, apps, and other home-based technologies to provide continuous and individualized treatment.
