The opioid crisis in the United States has brought about the rapid need for understanding the optimal role and the advancement of non-opioid forms of pain control. This session will highlight the current challenges surrounding opioids and the role that neuromodulation and innovative technologies may have in providing successful treatment strategies.

Intrathecal therapy is a durable, safe, and effective strategy to serve the cancer and non-cancer chronic pain population. This session will provide an overview of best practices regarding implementation of the therapy, risk-mitigating strategies, durable treatment options, and management strategies. Future innovations of Intrathecal therapy will also be discussed.
