This session will review existing spinal cord stimulation salient studies, examine deficiencies in prior studies, and propose a framework for future studies.

  • Examine principles of randomized controlled trial design.
  • Distinguish bias in study design and methods to limit such.
  • Evaluate current published spinal cord stimulation RCTs.
  • Analyze optimal spinal cord stimulation study design methodologies.
