Neuromodulation of Facial Pain

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM Friday, January 18

In this session, we will provide an overview on how to classify facial pain and make clinical diagnoses. We will then discuss the imaging correlates and types of neuromodulation, which may be used to provide pain relief. Overview of facial pain and neuromodulation treatment options.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the classification of facial pain.
  • Explain the role of various types of modulation for trigeminal neuropathic pain.
  • Identify imaging correlations of pain.
  • Describe the role of sphenopalatine ganglion stimulation for facial pain.
