Drew Simshaw is a Visiting Associate Professor of Law, Legal Practice, at Georgetown Law. He previously taught at Elon University School of Law, and practiced and taught in Georgetown Law's Communications and Technology Law Clinic as an attorney with the Institute for Public Representation. Simshaw is a former fellow with Indiana University's Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research, and served as a law and policy analyst with Indiana University's Center for Law, Ethics, and Applied Research in Health Information. He researches the regulation of emerging technologies in especially sensitive areas of life, including the use of robots and artificial intelligence in healthcare. He earned his B.A. from the University of Washington, his J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and his LL.M. with distinction from Georgetown Law.
