Matthew J. Pingree, MD Assistant Professor

Dr. Matthew J. Pingree graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin where he received his MD degree. He then completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency in 2003 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. This was followed by an EMG/Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Arizona campus in 2004. Dr. Pingree then went into private practice for three years where he was a partner in a spine pain management practice. In 2007 he returned to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where he completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship and during that time was awarded the Mayo Foundation Scholar in 2008. Matt currently works as a consultant at the Mayo Clinic and spends most of his time in pain medicine and holds joint appointments in Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pain Medicine and Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and holds the position of Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. His interests include advancing the use of ultrasound in pain medicine and interventional neuromodulation. He has been published in Pain Practice, Journal of Ultrasound Medicine, and Muscle & Nerve with a few other projects that have been accepted for publication and will be coming soon.
